Few companies reliably predict the discovery and review cost of a matter and as a result, overall costs are much higher. Most approaches to reducing discovery costs are limited because they don’t address the root cause – too little visibility and too much data. Legal’s process can bloat cost and data volume dramatically, driving cost up and profit down. These sessions will focus on continuously assessing the cost of each matter so that critical cost decision points are not by-passed and greater review volumes are not created. Best practices and case studies for linking Legal, IT and Records to defensibly dispose of data and reduce data management costs will be provided as well as metrics for collection and review costs, and for forecasting discovery costs.
