John Barber
John started working at Amgen in 1995 supporting the Amgen Law Department. There he initially provided litigation support and special project assistance. In 2006, he moved into his current role of Legal Operations Manager. He is responsible for setting the vision and strategic development of Legal Operations. He supports over 250 staff in the Amgen Law Department. His duties include improving the business processes of the Law Department and implementing automated tools to create efficiencies. Currently his team is implementing a matter management system, an electronic billing system, and a hold order tracking system. John is a native Californian from Los Angeles. He has a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Math-Operations Research.
