Kathy Harris
Kathleen Harris is a Managing Director in the Office of General Counsel at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in New York City. Kathy leads the Discovery and Regulatory Response Team (DARRT), providing centralized oversight for the intake, processing and production of discovery for regulatory inquiries and litigation. Kathy joined Merrill as leader of Global Compliance Practices to develop and implement new annual CEO certification and reporting processes. Prior to Merrill, Kathy was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of US Airways and previously spent 11 years at General Electric Company as Regional Counsel for GE Capital Auto Financial Services in Singapore, General Counsel for Global Consumer Finance Auto – Europe in Dublin, Ireland, Chief Counsel for Global Nuclear Fuel, a GE nuclear fuel manufacturing joint venture in Wilmington, NC and Kurihama, Japan, and later Senior Counsel, Global Compliance and Acquisition Integration at GE Energy in Atlanta, GA. Kathy began the practice of law in the New York offices of Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Kathy is a graduate of Cornell Law School and the University of Pennsylvania.
