Pamela Roberts is is the Head of  Legal Data Services (LDS), a department she created within IT in 2004 that is now housed within the Legal Department.  She developed an Electronic Discovery program in partnership with in-house counsel, business colleagues and IT, and is responsible for the continuing evolution of the program as well as day-to-day supervision of the Case Managers within LDS. NPC’s Electronic Discovery Program model is multi-disciplinary and cross-functional and includes a Data Source Catalog and systems to support ESI-discovery related activities, including hold management, data preservation and collection.

She is currently Business Program Manager for a global Electronic Data Management project for Novartis Group Companies worldwide.  The project will deliver storage repositories, transfer mechanisms, electronic support of taxonomies and retention schedules, systems to execute and lift legal preservation orders, and processes and software for the routine, defensible destruction of data when it no longer has business, regulatory or legal value.  The project was launched in mid-2009 and has delivered its first application, PSS-Systems’ Atlas.

Pamela is presently leading the effort within Novartis to modify its discovery processes  in preparation for the company’s upcoming migration to a “dedicated cloud” environment for its email service.

Pamela was recognized by Kroll Ontrack for Thought Leading Litigation Support in their 2006 Thought Leaders in Electronic Evidence program and has been an educational speaker for Kroll Ontrack, the Philadelphia Bench/Bar Conference, CGOC, Legal IQ, a division of IQPC, and E-Discovery Breakfast Briefings sponsored by Huron Consulting Group.
